                Hyderabad & Secunderabad - Launching of
          Om Shanti Help Line during the Mega Programme

    On Thursday, December 8, 2005, at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, during the Mega Programme - Festival to Experience God's Love & Peace, organised by centres of Secunderabad and Hyderabad, Om Shanti Help Line was launched for the twin cities.

    Bro. Chiranjeevi, Famous Telugu Film Actor made the inauguration call to the Om Shanti Help Line number 040-23001500.

     
    Shanti Sarovar, Hyderabad is hosting this Om Shanti Help Line system with 4 phone lines using professional telephony voice card.
     
    On the next day of the programme, the helpline received about 380 phone calls. Telugu Newspapers Eenadu and Vaartha published the helpline number along with the Mega Programme News.

           Moradabad - 56th city to start Om Shanti Help Line


    On Sunday, November 13, 2005, the launching ceremony was held at Town Hall, Moradabad at 10 a.m. After launching, on the same day, total 148 calls were received on the helpline number within 10 hours. On the next day, total 402 calls were received on the helpline number.
     
    Shri Vinay Agarwal, GM, BSNL, Moradabad was the chief guest on this occasion. Shri Narayan Lohia, Renowned Exporter, Moradabad; Shri Vinod Agarwal, Exporter and Political Leader, Moradabad and Dr. Pradip Verma, GM, Jubilant Organosis Ltd., Gajraula were special guests. BK Asha Bahen, In-Charge, BrahmaKumaris, Moradabad gave introduction of organisation. BK Alka Bahen conducted guided meditation. BK Dr. ShyamBihari Mishra, Reader, KGK College performed the role of the Stage Co-ordinator very well. BK Manju Bahen from Modinagar centre bestowed her good wishes in her presidential speech.
     
    As usual, BK Anand Bhai, Founder, Om Shanti Help Line & Director, Ultimate Solutions, gave his key-note speech on the topic - "Objective & Usage of Om Shanti Help Line" and conducted a creative exercise before starting his speech.
     
    All the guests had together did the Candle Lighting, OSHL Banner Opening and Inauguration Call to OSHL number for the Launching of OSHL at Moradabad.
     
    Newspapers like Amar Ujala, Dainik Jagran, Dainik Aaj, etc. and some regional and local TV channels like ETV, Abhi Tak, etc. gave good coverage to the programme.

                  Launching of 'Om Shanti Help Line' at Jammu


    On the auspicious evening of Sunday, May 22, 2005, Mr. Moola Ram, Minister, Social Welfare, J&K, as a chief guest of the launching ceremony, inaugurated the helpline service and congratulated the organisation for starting such service in J&K. The Director of J&K Radio was also present as guest of honour.
     
    BK Anand Bhai, Founder, OSHL delivered keynote speech and poured light on the functionality, objectives and result of OSHL. BK Suryamani Bhai, Director, OSHL spoke on 'Why Stress & Good Bye Stress'. BK Nirmal Behn conducted mass meditation. BK Sudershan, In-Charge, BrahmaKumaris, J&K graced the function with her blessings. BK Ravinder Bhai co-ordinated the function. BK Bhushan Bhai, Delhi was also present.
     
    J&K Doordarshan, J&K Radio, J&K Cable TV, TakeOne Cable TV, Dainik Jagran, Amar Ujala and other newspapers covered the event.
     
    Total 850 phone calls were answered by the OSHL system at Jammu during the first 3 days after launching.

    The helpline number in Jammu is 2562500. Two phone lines are dedicated for OSHL with hunting facility.

    Jammu has become the first BK centre in using Professional TAPI voice board for OSHL. Moreover, live telecounseling plus reply recording and retrieval system is also included in the OSHL at Jammu.

          Launching of 'Om Shanti Help Line' at Goa
     

    Mr. Menino Peres, Director, Dept. of Information & Publicity, Govt. of Goa was supposed to be there as Chief Guest, but due to urgent call from the CM of Goa, he could not attend the programme and sent his good wishes on phone. He took deep interest in this service and managed to publicise the advertisement of OSHL launching and OSHL no. in all newspapers. Also, Doordarshan covered the event.
     
    DD-Goa did telecast the news of the programme on March 1, Tuesday, 6:30 pm.
     
    Mr. Nitin Kuncolienkar, President, Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry made inauguration call and thanked Brahmakumaris to start such service in Goa. He said that although people in Goa are cool, the time is changing and such service is needed.
     
    Dr. I.R.Miller Mukherjee, Biochemist, Institute of Psychiatry & Human Behaviour and Child Counsellor, Balmitra said that in present times, EQ (Emotional Quotient) is more required than IQ (Intelligent Quotient). We need to reach out to people to help them. She congratulated Brahmakumaris Goa for starting the service.
     
    Mr. Vishwanath Kambalyal, Station Engineer, Doordarshan, Goa and Mrs. K. Vijaya Laxmi Menon, DGM, State Bank of India, Goa were also present on the dais. SBI sponsored the pamphlets and banners for OSHL service.
     
    In the keynote speech, Bro. Anand, Founder, OSHL said that instead of digging well at the time of thirst, we are doing it well in advance. He said that no one had dreamed of calamities like bombing on Hiroshima & Nagasaki, devastating Tsunami attack, attack on WTC, etc. before they took place. The same way, we are never aware of future adverse conditions and therefore, we should keep ourselves ready to cope up with any condition. That is why we are starting OSHL service in Goa.
     
    While giving brief service report, Bro. Suryamani, Director, OSHL said that Brahmakumaris is the only spiritual organisation to use such advanced technology for the benefit of humanity. He also said that OSHL is like an instant and first aid to the ill conditions in life.
     
    BK Shobha Bahen, Director, Brahmakumaris, Goa & Sindhudurg said that once when she heard about suicide by a girl after missing to appearing in exam, she felt the need of such helpline in Goa too.
     
    Technical Hands of OSHL Team, Bro. Khushvant and Bro. Prafulla from Mumbai were also present on this occasion. BK Shakuntala, Vasco was also present. Bro. Nagaraj expressed vote of thanks.
     
    Almost all the newspapers including Gomantak Times, Gomantak, Tarun Bharat, NavHind Times, NavPrabha, Sunaparant, etc. published the news, advertisement and article about OSHL about 3-4 times in their dailies and supplements.
     
    All Cable Operators (M TV, Goa Plus & Goa 365) and Doordarshan covered the event.
     
    50,000 pamphelts are printed for publicity of OSHL service & OSHL no., which will be distributed every week during rallies.
     
    200 Banners are made and will be put up in various cities of Goa for publicity of OSHL.
     
    Goa State Transport (Kadamba) allowed to affix stickers/posters of OSHL on their buses. 1000 posters are printed for now.
     
    On the first working day after launching, i.e., on Monday, Feb. 28th, there were 287 incoming calls answered by OSHL on 1 phone line. The OSHL no. is (0832) 2414111. One more phone line will be dedicated for OSHL from Tuesday. Some souls approached the centre asking for guidance, more help and discourses.

          Launching of 'Om Shanti Help Line' at Kottayam
    In the presence of Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala Shri Ooman Chandy, the programme was a grand success. The AsiaNet TV Channel and various newspapers covered the event.

     The CM spoke that the Indians are the most intellectuals in the world and amongst the Indians, Malayalees are the most intellectuals; moreover, Kerala is God’s own country and still Kerala is the suicide capital of India. He said that in such condition, this Om Shanti Help Line service of BrahmaKumaris will be very much beneficial to all.

    BK Anand, Founder of Om Shanti Help Line & Director of Ultimate Solutions, Ahmedabad explained how people can take benefit of this service through phone. He also explained that experiencing God’s company through meditation is very much necessary to lead peaceful and happy life, especially to decrease the suicide rate in Kerala.

    BK Suryamani, Director, Om Shanti Help Line, BK HQ, Mt. Abu told that meditation is the missing aspect in the life of today’s people and that is why people live in stress. He presented brief service report of om shanti help line.

    Thus, Nepal became the First Foreign Country to start 'Om Shanti Help Line' sewa. Moreover, it is worth to note that Bhairahawa ('Siddharthnagar', near Lumbini, the Birth Place of Mahatma Gautam Buddha) became the first city to start OSHL sewa in Nepal.

    BK Anand Bhai, BK Suryamni Bhai, BK Kamlesh Bahen and BK Arun Bhai addressed the press conference at Bathinda, informed the media people about starting the 'Om Shanti Help Line' service for mankind and answered their questions satisfactorily.
